Reasons We Like This Game:  Twilight zone is a very complex and challenging game with deep rule sets.  While most pinball games contain eight or nine modes to reach the end, or “Wizard” mode, Twilight Zone has an incredible 15 different modes including FIVE different types of multi-ball play!

Special Features:  Twilight Zone is the ONLY game ever created with a special ceramic “Powerball” pinball!  The speed of gameplay is increased dramatically  when this ball is in play (the ceramic ball is 3-4 times faster than the regular ball.)

While most games feature a 4 or 5-ball multi-ball, Twilight Zone has 6!

Working gumball machine and clock.

Two magnetic flippers and four regular flippers.

Wide-body pinball machine with lots of gameplay surface area.

Unique Special Features:  This is the rarest of all Twilight Zones, with only a few copies known to exist worldwide.  Created with special red circuit boards (instead of green) to distinguish itself as a test platform, this machine is loaded with unique features not found on any other Twilight Zones.

At every corner you'll see differences in this game that distinguish it from every other category of Twilights.  In addition to different artwork, the third magnet and so on, you'll fine nearly every major (and some interesting minor) circuit boards are done in red plastic instead of green.  You'll even find a serial port inside the cabinet so engineers could hook their computers up to the machine and run diagnostics!  Also, the backglass is totally unique in that there are little holes in front of each bulb so that they create a twinkling effect during gameplay!  But that's just the beginning... the rest you'll just have to discover for yourself by comparing these photos to everything you thought you knew about Twilight Zone!

Here's how the rarity factor breaks down:

Twilight Zone Red Board Prototype - The first 25 units (serial #1 - 25) off the assembly line were built with red circuit boards to distinguish them as engineering prototypes.  Only a few of these machines have ever been discovered worldwide.

Twilight Zone Prototype Sample - These were serial # 26 - 120 and contained the third magnet as well as white faced clock and the different artwork.  We estimate that there is less than 50 in collectors hands worldwide.

Twilight Zone Early Production Sample Game - Serial # 121 - 350 (approximate) less than 380 units were built.  Different artwork and different clock, no third magnet.

Twilight Zone Production Model - Serial # 351 (approximate) - 12,500.

This is a collectors dream and one of the rarest games in the world.  Twilight Zone is particularly rewarding in that the game has always been rated as one of the top 10 pinball machines ever created.  Now is your opportunity to own one of the rarest pinball machines to ever grace our Vault collection!
