Reasons We Like This Game:  Trident is another awesome early Stern pinball machine from the late 70's.  Aquatic themed pinball machines were quite popular for a brief time as nearly every pinball manufacturer felt they needed to have one in their lineup (Fathom, Aquarius, Atlantis, etc.)  Why this mini-craze happened we're not sure, but nothing like this has ever been created since.  For some reason you're simply drawn to this type of game...  Perhaps it's a cross between romanticism and nostalgia, they are all quite beautiful. Trident has amazing flow... Just look at the playfield. The artwork simply flows from the playfield to the cabinet and up into the backglass!

Trident has all the essentials of good pinball machine inside a wide open playfield.  This allows plenty of longer, more precise shots.  So in other words it's a tougher game than you may think!   There's five drop targets, an out hole, two spinners, five stationary targets, two jet bumpers, two slingshots, a rebound post and a roll over target!

Special Features:  Trident has an interesting playfield layout. If you look closely at the pinball machine, it doesn’t have a left drain!  The far left drain actually feeds the ball back to the left flipper!  Also there's a center rebound post.  So if the ball is heading down the center between the flippers just let the ball go and watch it bounce up onto the playfield again.  It's tough to resist the temptation to flip your flippers and possibly mess up the save!  We like rebound posts because it's a nice touch for beginners and experts alike...  When you're younger it seems like a ball save but in reality it's more of a restraint/timing thing!

Unique Special Features: This game is in amazing condition for its age. The playfield and backglass are almost in perfect condition!
